The Chugiak SC 05g Thunder team traveled to Las Vegas to participate in the 2018 Las Vegas Mayor’s Cup tournament Feb. 23-25. Their tournament play started with an opening match vs. Real Henderson FC, a local team from Las Vegas. In 40-degree weather and 15 mph winds, CSC Thunder were able to put two shots in the back of the net and seal the win.
Former Warrior, Jordan Farr, recently signed a contract with the Indie Eleven United Soccer Team.
Farr is currently in preseason training with the team until it begins March 14.
“I am so thankful to be here,” he said. “I know it’s really difficult for any college player, let alone a former NAIA player. It’s not something you see every day.”
As an NAIA All-American athlete, Farr has set many school records, including setting the current NAIA record of 44 shutouts throughout his collegiate soccer career.
Renowned street baller Isaiah Escobedo has created a street football movement in the U.S. Pacific Northwest with his Street Soccer Dojo programs. What started as a way to increase technicality and creativity on the pitch has gone on to establish a full-on cultural presence, complete with plenty of young ballers.
SANDPOINT — Sandpoint senior soccer standouts Mac Stultz and Christian Dressel are taking their game to the collegiate level, signing letters of intent last Friday to play soccer next fall for North Idaho College.

FAIRBANKS, AK — Robyn Horner, the head women’s soccer coach for Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, North Carolina, got two good indications of the type of player that Lathrop High School’s Aislynn Odsather will be for Pfeiffer.
Odsather, a senior center back and holding midfielder for the Lathrop girls soccer team, signed a National Letter of Intent with Pfeiffer, an NCAA Division III program, during a ceremony Tuesday afternoon in the Lathrop library.

Kalispell is hosting its first indoor soccer tournament, bringing in teams and visitors from around the northwestern United States and Canada.The tournament is being held at the Trade Center Building at the Northwest Montana Fairgrounds March 2-4 and has 36 boys and girls teams participating.
On Friday the finishing touches were put on the turf brought in from Spokane for the evening’s games starring local teams.
