BILLINGS, MT – Rob Zimmerman found himself without any soccer responsibilities this past fall. For a guy who had been active in the sport for the past 20 years or so, it was quite a change for the 1989 Billings West graduate.
“That was hard not to be around it,” Zimmerman said Tuesday after he was hired as the new coach for the Billings West girls program. “This fall it was definitely a void without having any soccer to follow that I was directly in involved with. I’m excited to get back into it.”
U.S. Soccer’s membership elected Carlos Cordeiro as U.S. Soccer’s 32nd President during the National Council Meeting at the Federation’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) this morning at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld. Portland Community College is seeking a Head Coach for the Women’s Soccer Program, based out of the beautiful Rock Creek Campus.
This part-time position reports to the Director of Athletics and works with campus departments, and athletic commissioners to ensure compliance with all NWAC rules. The program is seeking a coach with a history of winning records, and producing academically successful student athletes.
The part-time position reports to the Director of Athletics and receives a stipend of ($6,000). This position closes on Friday, February 2, 2018.

BILLINGS, MT—Recently, Edge Soccer Academy and Magic City Soccer announced a merger to create Billings United Soccer Club. As a result of the merger, players, parents of players, and coaches of area clubs voiced concern about increased fee structure, stressing it may prevent youth from participating in a sport they love. In response to this entry barrier, the formation of Real Billings FC (RBFC) was conceived with the goal of soccer for all.
HAMILTON, MT—Valley Elite Football Club is offering competitive and academy soccer experiences in the Bitterroot Valley. It’s not just what’s happening in these new fields, it’s the players, coaches, and fans staying in hotels, eating at restaurants and shopping during their time in Missoula.
“When you look at this over a two-day period. It’s going have an economic impact. About $325,000 over two days,” said Neilan.
Neilan said the investment that went into completing the fields for was money well spent, especially to play host for a state tournament.
A local soccer camp, coached by an ex-Division 1 college soccer player named Chris Essman, highlights how the sport continues to grow in Missoula.
